Design Manager - Event Production

Our client, a large scale event production company, is looking for a Design Manager to join their team! In this role, you’ll use your production and spatial design skills to craft exciting and innovative spaces for some of the biggest events in entertainment: you’ll manage the design process from concept to completion, including creating pitch decks; translating marketing and creative objectives into design solutions; leading the design team in the production of all design deliverables; managing team bandwidth, deliverables, timelines and budgets; meeting with clients or upper management to explain strategies and solutions; and ensuring visual communication and brand standards are met. Additionally, you’ll also lead on-site art direction and partner with and manage vendors as needed, among other tasks. You should have:
- a Bachelor’s degree in Art, Interior Design, or a related field
- a minimum 7-10 years of design experience, including drafting, production design, and on-site art direction [experience with spatial design highly preferred]
- expert level proficiency with AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Sketchup, Keynote, and the Adobe Design Suite
- top notch communicative, collaborative, project management, leadership, and time management skills
